Day 3
Vickel finally got to have a go on blogs. Using his ipad to present. this was done wirelessly and the ipad images were projected up onto the wall.
good stuff is a happening here.
Tabither spoke on moodle 2.0
sort of looks a little better than 1.9.7 does.
Yan had a go from his perspective of moodle 2.0. This bought up many questions.
Hopefully the change over goes off without a hitch, should happen sometime in the second semester.
We were all reminded to post into the forum what we will be presenting on this afternoon.
Made the following video using i movie but with my MacBook pro camera facility.
We all had to present this afternoon and many new project were explained . Great to see what others are doing.
Day 2
Thom spoke about the Unitec Wairaka Gmail. This will replace Noval Email, however it is limited missing a number of the google apps. As i use these apps with my students already i will not be moving over in a hurry.
Vickel on blogging and how this can be used to create a COP with your students and the students with each other. The importance of a cop or community of practice really shows when the students start discussing topics with each other.

Go slow to start and then u can finish hard... Go fast at the start with and u will leave many of the team behind...

Frustrations with ipad... needed to remember passwords from yonks ago...
Hence the bleet above about going slowly at the start and not loosing anyone.....
Technopigmy rulzs again.....
So I'm using my Macbook Pro to at least allow me to keep up.
Endnote is a good app....this will synic between tools ie computer and ipad
App with ipad like a calculator for free...normal cost $400... now free. this helps bring down the inital cost of the device.
